1. How long does Invisalign take?
It depends on your case. Many patients finish in about 12 to 18 months, and simpler cases can take less. We'll give you an estimate at your consultation.
2. Does Invisalign hurt?
You may feel pressure or mild soreness for a day or two after switching to a new set of aligners. It's usually milder than braces and fades quickly.
3. Can I eat with my aligners in?
No. Remove them to eat or drink anything besides water, then brush before putting them back in to prevent staining and trapped food.
4. Will Invisalign affect my speech?
Some patients have a slight lisp for the first few days. It usually goes away quickly as your tongue adjusts.
5. How often will I need to visit?
Check-ups are usually every 6 to 8 weeks, so we can track your progress and give you your next aligners.
6. What happens after treatment?
You'll wear a retainer to keep your teeth from shifting back. We'll explain your retainer options when treatment is complete.
7. Is Invisalign covered by insurance?
Some dental plans cover clear aligners the same way they cover braces. Our team can help you check your benefits and review financing options.
