TMJ and TMD

Kremer Dental Care - TMJ and TMD - Yuba City, California

Many people develop problems in the structures related to the mouth and teeth. These include the Jaw joints (TMJ), Nerves, Muscles that support the jaw, and teeth themselves. When a persons mouth system is not in balance, certain parts of that system can get overloaded. This is called Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD).

If the system cannot adapt, discomfort will develop:

  • The teeth will wear down from grinding.
  • The jaw will click and pop.
  • The muscles will be tender and ache.
  • Headaches can develop.
  • Pain can radiate into and down the back of the neck.

All of these and many other signs indicate an imbalance or disorder. We have a way to ask the muscles, nerves, and the TMJ where the most comfortable position is. We can then determine the best way to obtain that harmonious position and get a person back into a balanced state. Dr. Kremer has been trained in the science of Neuromuscular dentistry at the prestigious Las Vegas Insitute for Advanced Dental Studies.

Dr. Kremer would be happy to offer a complimentary TMJ signs and symptoms evaluation to see if you are out of balance.
